Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know before signing up.

Can people report bugs without creating an account? +

Yes. Your public bug report form lets anyone submit an issue — with a screenshot — just by visiting your branded URL (like yourcompany.stopbuggin.me). Removing the login barrier means you receive far more useful feedback.

How is stopbuggin.me different from Jira or GitHub Issues? +

Those tools are built for engineers and require every reporter to have an account and understand the workflow. stopbuggin.me is built around a simple public form so clients and non-technical users can report bugs in seconds, while your team triages and fixes them from a clean dashboard.

How much does it cost? +

There is a genuinely free plan with up to 3 projects and 5 team members. Premium is a flat $29/month for up to 50 members and unlimited projects — no per-seat billing. See the pricing page for details.

What happens to my data if I downgrade? +

Nothing is deleted. Downgrading simply re-applies the free-plan limits — the most recent projects and members beyond the free allowance are deactivated, and your data stays intact and ready if you upgrade again.

Can I attach screenshots to a bug? +

Yes. Reporters can attach images and files to any bug, and your team can add more on comments. Screenshots are the fastest way to remove ambiguity from a report.

Can I share a bug or task with a client? +

Yes. Every bug and task has a read-only share link you can send to anyone. Task share links can be password protected so only the right people see them.

Is my bug data private? +

Your admin dashboard, comments and internal notes are private to your team. Only the specific public report form and any share links you choose to send are visible to outside people.

Do I need to install anything on my website? +

No. stopbuggin.me is a hosted service with its own URL, so there is no script or plugin to add to your site. That also means it keeps working even if your own site goes down.
